This website was created by Kevin O'Connell in December, 2024 as a way to spread appreciation of some of Earth's most magestical phenomena. Under the Blog section, you will find various insightful scientific articles regarding the potential implications to our environment of various technological innovations, as well as man-made and natural disaster scenarios. These articles will be released every 2-3 weeks, depending on the scale and scope of the topic. The Forecast Products section is primarily tailored for the Chicago metropololitan area, although Current Weather Information, Alerts and 16-Day Forecasts provided my Weatherbit API give information for any location in the continnential US, as well as most major population centers worldwide. Chicago Public Forecasts are designed to be short, easy to digest synopses of the evolution of weather conditions for a 12 hour period. The Forecast Discussion is a detailed scientific report describing the broader scale evolution of meteorological conditions for a 3-5 day period. Finally, the Photos section displays a beautiful collection of captivating weather imagery across the U.S. This collection is a work in progress, and viewers are highly enouraged to send their own weather photos to [email protected] to be added to the collection. The photographer's name will be credited alongside each posted photo, along with the date and location where each photo was taken.
Kev's Weather is a developing project and there will be continuous updates to the user interface throughout its lifespan. Minor updates will be frequent and major updates will be displayed on the home page bulletin with at least 3 days' notice.
